Body:

The V17, despite its high light output, is a tiny and sleek flashlight. It is perfect for transport in airline carry-on luggage. Its length is only 13,2 cm. The weight on the surface with the battery is 235g (125g underwater). The surface of the V17 has been hard anodized, making it resistant to scratches and abrasion. The back and front of the flashlight have been moleskinned to make it easy to unscrew with a wet hand.

NOTE: V17 is equipped with protection against overheating. If the temperature rises dangerously, the light output of the flashlight will be reduced automatically.

Operation:

Two buttons are used to set the operating modes and light output. Their backlighting serves as an indicator of the battery charge and modes of operation of the flashlight.

– button no. 1 – closer to the light source

– button no. 2 – further away from the light source

Switching on:

Press both buttons simultaneously for 1 second, then release them. The buttons will light up, and the flashlight will enter standby mode. Press button #1 quickly, and the flashlight will go into video light mode, 100% light output.

Turning off:

Press and hold both buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.

Switching V17 modes:

When the V17 is on (lit), with quick presses of button #1, we can switch through the V17 modes:

Video light → Spotlight → Red light

Red light + blue light ← Blue light

Control of light brightness:

When the V17 is on (lit), you can toggle through 3 levels of light brightness (in any V17 mode) by quickly pressing button #2:

100% → 50% → 25%

Auto-flash-off function:

When the flashlight is on (illuminated), press and hold the No. 2 button for 3 seconds. The button’s backlight will blink, and the V17 will enter the auto-flash-off function to turn its light on and off automatically when a flash from the flashlight is detected.

Service Function:

While the flashlight is off, press and hold both buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The service mode will turn on. Use button #2 to switch modes:

short flashes → SOS → fast flashes.

Standby function:

When the flashlight is on (lit), press and hold button #1 for 2 seconds, the flashlight will enter the standby function. Pressing button 1 for 2 seconds again will wake up the flashlight from the standby function.

The colors of the button illumination, as an indicator of the battery charge level:

100% – 80% blue

80% – 30% green

30% – 5% red

< 5% red, blinking.
